The smart stick is built on arduino pro mini. For better accuracy and assistance two or three ultrasonic sensors sensors can be added to this project. The smart blind stick automatically detects the obstacle in front of the person and give him a response to the person by vibrating the stick and also with a warning sound. This is the reason why we have designed the blind walking stick device which will help blind people to walk with ease independently.

I used ultrasonic sensor for detecting the obstacles. This smart stick will have an ultrasonic sensor to sense distance from any obstacle ldr to sense lighting conditions and a rf remote using which the blind man could remotely locate his stick all the feedbacks will be given to the blind man through a buzzer. Blind stick is an innovative stick designed for visually disabled people for improved navigation.
